The best of our adult cats this week!

In the sea of kittens there are a few awesome adult cats that need good homes too! Please stop by the shelter to visit with them. I've spent time with each of these cats so feel free to hit me with questions!

Belucci is a gorgeous gray & white tuxedo male. He is around two years old and 12lbs. He has an extremely sweet personality and will hide his face in your arm when he's feeling shy. He is very calm and will sit contently in your lap as long as you let him. He is declawed in the front and needs a safe environment where he can't get outside. He likes other cats and is looking for a gentle & loving family, even with kids. Belucci lives in Cat Room 2!

Gregory is a 2 year old seal point Siamese neutered male. He has striking blue eyes and a handsome coat. He was a bit nervous when he arrived at the shelter, but has blossomed into a loving and tolerant cat with a curious nature. He loves to roll around in your lap and purr contently. He is looking for a cozy home with plenty of cat beds (he is a champion napper). Gregory lives in Cat Room 2.

Charity is a a beautiful tortie female. This mom loves to cuddle. If you forget to pet her, she will remind you with a gentle nudge to your hand. She has a sweet purr and would make a wonderful lap cat. She's on the skinny side right now but is sure to fatten up. As of yesterday she is finished nursing her precious kittens. She was so sweet with the kittens, but seems relieved to get some peace away from them. Charity (and her kittens) live in Cat Room 2.

I love that you've got these wonderful cats up here!

Belucci is moving in with me next week to give him a new place to crash while he finds his forever home. He's such a cool cat and will be an awesome house guest!

Jojo, my cat, is excited to have a playmate.

I talked to John over at the Indy yesterday and he's going to help me get some ads up, but I know you have experience with Prince, so any tips you have will be great!

See you Sunday!

That is awesome news about Belucci! For some odd reason gray & white cats are my favorite. We can talk more about fostering on Sunday. The Indy ad is what got Prince adopted!

Cuddles (formerly Belucci) has an adoption pending with the Wicker family! They plan to pick her up Thursday!! :)

AWESOME! That is so great for Cuddles. I miss her, although can't stop thinking of her as Belucci :-)

Good job getting the adoption so quickly. Are you going to take another foster? We just moved into a smaller place and are trying to gauge if there's enough territory for a 4th cat.

Yep! I've talked to Simon and decided that instead of getting a second cat, I will just always keep a foster. Here's who I'm thinking about:

Jasmine has been there awhile, but she's in a cottage, so I don't know if fostering would help her...

Gwen is a sweetie and has also been at the shelter awhile. I have no idea why she hasn't been adopted. She might do really well in foster care with a little extra advertising.

Midnight hasn't been there all that long, but considering that he never leaves his litter box, I'm not sure if the shelter is going to work for him.

Thumbelina has been there for awhile too, but, like Jasmine, I'm not sure about taking her out of the cottage...

Charity might be a great candidate for a foster home, but we'd have to see how she and Jojo got along.

Carolina is another one like Gwen. I can't imagine why she hasn't been adopted. I would think she'd be one of the first adopted, but maybe she could do with a little extra advertising in foster care too.

These are in no particular order, just my thoughts thinking down the list. Since I didn't spend much time at the shelter last weekend, for all I know all of these guys have been adopted. Also, there might be new cats I don't know about who don't seem like they're going to do great at the shelter.

Any suggestions?

I'm actually going there today so I can get the website updates ready. I will let you know the status of all of these. I think Charity would be great--she's always so desperate to be held.

Also, in the future I'm happy to include your foster cat within the weekly ad I run at the Indy. I normally put four cats in one ad with a description and photo of each.

Stephanie: All of the cats you mentioned are still available! Jasmine was being so sweet today (Alice was adopted). I also like Tiger Lily in Cat Cottage 2.

I will likely put Charity, Alma, Carolina, and Gwen into the paper this week. Any other ideas?
